I have found using both paper and digital study tools very useful.
PAPER
- Wide margin study bible with room in margins for notes I use the following: Tyndale NLT version (Filament-enabled )
- Dr. David Jeremiah’s Study Bible, ESV version (KJV also available)(link here)
- The Christian Counselor’s New Testament and Proverbs (CCNT/P) –
Dr. Jay Adams’ original translation of the Greek text to which he has added helpful notes, cross-references, topic lists etc. - The Passion Translation (New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs)
- Days of Praise devotional from the ICR
Let me know of your favorites. Here are some of mine:
DIGITAL
- Blue Letter Bible web and app – wonderfully enables translation comparisons, interlinear Greek/Hebrew texts, commentaries, audio/video, note taking and highlighting.
- Tyndale NLT Filament-enabled bibles offer an extension to the written page by offering contextual links to online reference material (maps, commentaries, study plans, videos) via their free app.
- Dr. David Jeremiah’s Turning Point ministry teachings: broadcast videos, audio and video podcasts, online library
- The Bible Project – great animated overviews of books and persons in the Bible.
- Days of Praise devotional from the ICR
